Ola’s policies in London

What are your PPE expectations of drivers?2020-06-12T10:32:54+00:00

In light of Covid-19, we have introduced five safety measures we are asking riders and drivers to observe. We ask you to comply for your protection and that of your local community.

The five safety measures are as follows:

  1. Wear a face covering (not a medical mask) at all times inside the car.
  2. Carry and use 60% alcohol based hand sanitiser often, as advised by TfL.
  3. Disinfect the interior of your car between riders.
  4. Keep the car ventilated by rolling the windows down. If you’re using air conditioning, it should be set not to recirculate.
  5. Ask riders to sit in the rear seats. Particularly the back left seat if they’re traveling solo, for safe social distancing.
What is your rate card in London?2020-02-08T20:40:09+00:00

We use a ‘Rate Card’ to display our fares so it’s clear to both riders and drivers. Check our current London rate card here

How long can I drive in a day?2020-01-30T14:56:04+00:00

If you accumulate 10 hours of ‘in-trip’ driving time within 24 hours from the start of a shift, we will put you on an enforced rest of 8 hours, where you will not be able to log on and take trips. ‘In-trip’ driving time starts from the moment you accept a trip until the time the trip finishes (either drop off or cancellation).

Why does Ola make me take breaks?2020-01-30T14:58:28+00:00

Driving for long periods of time without taking breaks increases the risk of accidents that can harm you, your passengers, and other road users and/ or damage your car.

Does Ola accept bookings outside the London area?2020-01-30T14:59:33+00:00

Ola London driver partners are only able to do pick-ups and drop-offs within the London TfL area. However, you will be able to pick-up OR drop-off outside of this area, only if one of them is based in the TfL area (for example trips to and from Stansted Airport are allowed, but a trip from Stansted airport to Cambridge is not allowed.)

How will you compensate drivers operating in central London?2020-01-30T14:55:24+00:00

Ola charges a ‘Central London Fee’ of £1, for any journey that picks-up, drops-off, or goes through the Congestion Charging /ULEZ area. This will be charged to the customer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and passed onto you. It will be up to you to arrange the relevant payments to TfL.

How will I be paid by Ola?2020-01-30T14:05:45+00:00

All of your day’s Ola earnings will be transferred to your bank account the next working day.
