You must complete these tests to drive with Ola

We’ve been speaking with drivers and riders alike and have learned there’s a general perception that the quality of rides, customers and drivers aren’t always at the high-level everyone would like them to be. We know that the majority of drivers go above and beyond to deliver great service and we don’t want you or our riders to be let down by bad experiences elsewhere. So, we’ve pulled together a first for our industry and partnered with several organisations to invest in you and help you deliver a top-class service – and demonstrate this resoundingly to our riders!

These tests will be available for you to complete after you have uploaded all of your diver documents with Ola and had them approved.

 This is a short video about Ola and how to use the platform. It will be followed by a few multiple-choice questions on the content. 

Visit olatraining.com and log in using your Ola registered email address. You should have already received an email to create your password.

This is a short psychometric test of customer service behaviour. 

  • Make sure you have time to complete both parts as it times out after 45 minutes and you won’t be able to log back in to complete it.

This test is accessible via the Versant app (Play Store or App Store) and should take no more than 20 minutes to complete. It is designed to aid your interaction with customers, ensuring you receive the great ratings you deserve for every ride. 

  • Ensure you are in a quiet location
  •  Please complete the test in one sitting
  • At the end of the test, please do not exit the app until it shows you your final score, or it will not be submitted
  • Please take a screenshot of the final screen showing your score. This can be used as evidence of completion

In partnership with DriveTech (Part of the AA). We want to support you and help you to drive safely for the sake of your family and your passengers. This assessment will help you understand how to minimise any risk in your daily driving. This partnership with DriveTech is the first of its kind in the ride-hailing industry.

Make sure all of your driver docs are in-date.  Update any expired documents in your driver app to be able to drive. Just check in your app.

These are all listed in your driver portal, alongside the corresponding test. You should also have received an email with all of the details.

How do I check what I have taken and what I still need to do?2020-02-14T17:01:17+00:00

Login to your driver portal at olaride.uk/drivers and you will see all of the assessments that you need to take, along with their status. Please be aware that there can be up to a 24 hour gap between completing the test and it reflecting in your portal.

What if I failed the tests?2020-02-08T21:13:57+00:00

You will not be able to start with us for now. However, we will continue to help you improve your skills – you will be welcome to retry after 1-2 months. The DriveTech e-learning modules will remain available for you in the meantime.

How do I start the tests?2020-02-14T16:44:29+00:00

To start the tests you need to have uploaded all of your driver documents and had them approved. You can then log back into your driver portal at olaride.uk/drivers and you will see all of the assessments that you need to take, along with their status. Please be aware that there can be up to a 6 hour gap between completing the test and it reflecting in your portal.

You can expect to hear from us within 24 hours, if not sooner. You will receive an email from us with your result and will be able to start taking rides.

The Versant English Speaking Test

Make sure you have a good network, preferably WiFi. Kill the app and start again. If this does not work, uninstall and install the app again.

The Driving assessment from DriveTech, part of AA

There are e-learning modules – Do I need to do them now?2020-02-08T21:20:41+00:00

You need to complete the initial assessment now to be able to drive with Ola but not all of the e-learning modules immediately. However, we strongly advise you to complete all the recommended e-learning modules within a week. They are designed to help you continuously improve your performance, and we will be monitoring completion and sending you information shortly about the deadline to complete them all.

Customer Service (Mettl) Test

Please note that you need to complete both modules of the Mettl test in full to start driving with us. In case you have partially completed, use another email ID if you have one, with your PHDL number to retake and complete the test. If you do not have another email ID then please contact Partner Care on 0203 9720800

As long as you have used your own PHDL number, we will be able to retrieve your results. This can take up to 24 hours.
